PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND JETBLUE FIRST DAILY, NON-STOP FLIGHT BETWEEN
SAN JUAN AND THE PALM BEACHES

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla (Dec 14, 2011)— The Palm Beach International Airport (PBIA), JetBlue Airways and San Juan Luis Muņoz Marin International Airport (SJU) today announce the first-ever, year-round, non-stop daily flight between San Juan, Puerto Rico and The Palm Beaches, Fla. commencing on May 15, 2012. Flights are on sale now for as low as $89 each way from West Palm Beach through Thursday, December 22, 2011 at www.jetblue.com/new, for travel between May 15 and June 21, 2012. The new service marks the third new non-stop flight added to PBIA’s daily schedule in 2012, after AirCanada’s second Toronto flight, and JetBlue’s first-ever Hartford/Palm Beach flight, which will commence in January.

“The announcement of this new service to San Juan clearly demonstrates the potential our airline partners see in our destination- particularly partners such as JetBlue,” said Palm Beach County Director of Airports Bruce Pelly. “We are thrilled to be entering a new market and are confident its anticipated success will open even more doors into more markets for PBIA.”
“We’re very pleased that our friends at JetBlue have again invested in Palm Beach County and continue to understand the great appeal our destination holds among the markets they serve,” said Palm Beach County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau President and CEO Jorge Pesquera. “This is the second new service we’ve announced with JetBlue in less than three months. Clearly, Puerto Rico is a strong market and transportation hub which, in turn, opens up significant opportunities in the rest of the Caribbean.”
"The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico has overwhelmingly supported JetBlue service from day one. Our customers appreciate the value that JetBlue provides when traveling," said John Checketts, director of route planning for JetBlue. "San Juan is the cornerstone of our growth in the Caribbean; today's announcement reinforces that commitment. As Puerto Rico's number one carrier, JetBlue continues to seek growth opportunities."
The new service will operate with the airline’s 150-passenger Airbus A320, departing PBIA at 8:50 a.m., arriving at SJU at 11:20 a.m., and departing SJU at 12:10 p.m., arriving at PBIA at 2:54 p.m., each day. It is estimated that this additional daily flight into PBIA will bring approximately 15,000 more hotel guests and 20,000 room nights to Palm Beach County, totaling $7million in direct economic impact.
